Why assign boring worksheets when creative ones make practice so much more interesting? Why make all the students do exactly the same activity when each practice sheet can be unique?
Round and Round We Go! is a center activity that uses random numbers to help primary children practice rounding 2-digit numbers to the nearest 10. Children randomly pull a card with a number, write the number in the blank in a sentence, decide if it should be rounded up or down, then record the nearest 10. My students enjoyed this activity at a center - each child's paper was different yet the practice component was satisfied.
Your students will like it too!
Created by Terry Palmieri, this is one of many center activities used in my Kdg, 1st, or 2nd grade math classes.
