This is an adapted performance task. For this task, students are able to complete it independently, in a center, or in small group with teacher. It could be used to assess the student's applicable ability with rounding. The students would analyze the rounding riddle at the bottom of the "Round that" Island. Students would then write their initial answer in the "sun". Student must them derive additional possible answers for the same riddle. The additional solutions are written in the tree. There is a space for a constructed response. Students could decorate their final product for display. This performance task does include different degrees of difficulty to appease the different levels found in classes.
