This balloon pop activity is a lot of fun and will cause a lot of POPS in the classroom. Just make copies of the 36 task slips, cut them apart, and slip them in a balloon. It is a great way to review rounding a three digit number to the nearest 10 or 100.
On the day of the activity, each child will blow up a balloon and pop it. The little slip of paper will come out and the child will complete the review task on it. I always spend a little time asking the kids to tell the class about what they did on the slip of paper. Then we clean up all the balloon pieces to keep our custodians happy, happy, happy.
After the popping good time, there are two worksheets to use for practice of the skill being targeted. I have included answer keys for the two worksheets. I have not included answer keys for the little task card slips.
So grab a few bags of balloons and get your kids hooked on balloon pop activities. Check the custom category for more balloon pops to use in your classroom.
