This resource gives students a conceptual understanding of how rounding decimals works through the visual representation of using a number line. I use this resource in students' interactive math notebooks. The left of the resource contains number lines that are segmented into tenths while the right side contains open number lines. As we progress through this practice, I expect my students to be able to use an open number line to plot approximately where a point is located (closer to the smaller whole, the halfway point, or the larger whole). I'm not sure why the thumbnail is showing a line through the resource...this line is not in the actual resource, which can be soon using the preview option.
