This rounding resource contains a fast pace rounding review game in which students have a one minute indoor snowball fight. After printing, this game is ready to play. The pages are designed to use very little ink. Give each student 2-3 of the printed pages to crumble into individual snowballs. Following the rules described below, the students will have a blast throwing snowballs at their friends for one minute. After the snowball fight, each student will get one snowball and go back to their starting position (their seat). One at a time, each student will open their snowball and round the number on the snowball to the underlined place. After everyone has rounded the number on their snowball, it is time for another snowball fight. The snowballs will last though several rounds of play. (Rounding Task Cards may be created simply by printing several pages to a sheet. Printing instructions included.)

This common core aligned rounding review game includes 3 leveled sets: grade 3 set, grade 4 set, and grade 5 set. Each set contains 60 numbers to round; 180 numbers total.

Grade 3 set: Whole numbers rounded to nearest tens and hundreds.

Grade 4 set: Whole numbers rounded to nearest tens, hundreds, thousands, and ten thousands.

Grade 5 set: Decimals rounded to the nearest tenths, hundredths, ones, tens, and hundreds.

SNOWBALL FIGHT RULES: This package includes a snowball fight rules poster. I use two rules when playing this game. 1. Always Walk 2. Aim below the Shoulders. Tell students the consequence if a rule is broken such as: They will sit out the next round or the rest of the game. During this game students are moving and a little noisy, but they LOVE it!!

Fun Game Extension: Challenge students seating at the same group to order their snowballs from least to greatest without saying a word.
