I love task cards! I use them in math centers, during my guided small groups, for whole-group SCOOT fun, and I even shrink them down for interactive notebooks!
This set of 24 task cards focusing on having the students round numbers in the thousands to the nearest ten, hundred, and thousand.
Also included with the 24 task cards are:
-Ideas for different uses of task cards
-Student answer sheet
-Teacher answer key
HOW TO PLAY
-Place all of the cut-out cards at a center. If you can not print the cards in color, consider printing the letter cards on a different color paper than the number cards.
-Students will match the cards so that each yellow card (marked by a letter) has a matching green, pink, and purple card (marked by numbers). Basically- the students will create sets of four cards. In each set will be: the number in the thousands, that number rounded to the nearest ten, that number rounded to the nearest hundred, and that number rounded to the nearest thousand.
-After each letter card has three matching cards, students will record the numbers of the matching cards on the answer sheet next to the letter.
