Your kiddos will stay engaged with this rounding speedometer rich task! Children use problem solving and analytical reasoning skills to round numbers on the speedometer to the nearest 10. Great for a review or introductory lesson to rounding. Goes along as independent practice with the interactive Rounding Speedometer Smartboard activity, (see my entire rounding unit) for immediate feedback to students and lessons!
Tried this out as a quick intro math lesson today with third graders. Just as a tip, make sure you tell your kiddos that the space on either side of the speedometer is there to place your anchor numbers. You want to know what number the "speed" is rounded to.
Hope you enjoy this worksheet!
