A page of word problems centered on the skill of rounding. Problems include numbers ranging from the tens to the hundred-thousands. Students must decide based on the problem's context which place makes the most sense. One problem involves students evaluating the work of others--deciding if the way that someone has chosen to round makes sense in the context of the problem. Intended for 4th grade (NBT3), but could be used for 3rd grade or for struggling 5th graders.
This can be given as independent work, group work, or as an assessment.
