This no prep, no mess art history packet introduces students to the artist Roy Lichtenstein. These no prep art history interactive coloring sheets are made with classroom teacher in mind, but are a great staple for any art classroom and make excellent sub plans.
The lesson takes students through an understanding of the artist, pop art and then has students color his artwork using four of the most common characteristics of his work: Benday Dots, Horizontal Lines, Primary Colors and black outlines. Students apply this knowledge afterwards to create their own art, first as an abstract piece then using their favorite comic strip frame.
