This 90 page product is a Common Core aligned- RtI teaching tool to be used to help Kindergarteners with developing their number recognition and identification skills. These Math Mats can be used in individual instruction, small group instruction, for pre-kindergarten number readiness and as math centers. Utilize them in your classroom to suit your individual needs, we hope that you find them a useful tool in your Teaching Toolbox.

Each Math Mat set is made for numbers 0-20.

Find the Number Mat: Numbers are different fonts and they have to identify the numbers.

How Many is … Mat: The children have to count the pictures to find the correct number.

Write the number… Mat: The children have to write the number or use different manipulatives to trace the number

Make the number … Mat: the children have to make the number amount on the mat using a variety of items.

Mathematics Common Core Standards this product targets…

K.CC. Base knowledge knows number names and the count sequence

K.CC. 3. Write the number from 0-20. Represent a number of objects with a written number 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects)

K.CC. 4. Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.

K.CC. 5. Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many object.

K.CC.6. Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than or equal to the number of objects in another group

K.CC.7. Compare two numbers between 1-10 presenting as written numerals.
