This is an amazing lab to use at the conclusion of a physics unit to help students learn about all the key concepts from the entire unit.
Students are asked to engineer and construct a car made out of any materials they want but it can only be powered by rubber bands. This is a fun and exciting way to watch the students build and use their own creative minds.
On the final test day students will collect various forms of data such as their car's Displacement, Velocity, Momentum, Acceleration, and Kinetic Energy.
My students love doing this lab each and every year! It's a great way to experience physics and do all the things they had been learning about all unit long.
