This rubric makes it easy to grade any RAFT assignment. RAFT stands for Role Audience Format Topic, and is a way of letting student show understanding of a story by putting themselves into the shoes of a character and writing from that character's point of view. You can assign a percentage to each of the four categories, allowing you to determine which aspect(s) of the assignment are more important to the goals of the particular assignment.
Example RAFT activity I have done:
After reading the story of King Midas - pretend you are Midas' daughter writing her father a letter five years after the events of the story. How did his choice and actions affect you?
