Ruby Bridges was the first African American child to attend an all-white elementary school in the South. Having led the country by example at a young age, Ruby Bridges is an excellent role model for students!

- 1 Ruby Bridges Passage: The passage is ten paragraphs and covers two pages. Paragraph numbers are included and key terms are underlined, so the passage resembles what students will see on a standardized test.
- 12 Ruby Bridges Comprehension Task Cards: All questions are multiple choice. Questions incorporate skills such as main idea, supporting details, cause and effect, context clues, author’s purpose, making inferences, figurative language, and sequence.
