The last days before holiday break are always challenging because of the excitement surrounding the season. I use this lesson on one of those challenging days. Have your students watch the famous “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” movie and then have your students complete the following activities about bullying.
Discussion Cards – use these to facilitate whole or small group discussions or as writing prompts.
“I Am Poems” – write from the viewpoint of Rudolph or another character. These poems are always so powerful to read as they really get to the heart of a character.
Situation Cards - Be an Awesome Ally – Have your students role-play and practice their anti-bullying strategies or use them for journal prompts.
Anti-Bullying Posters – instructions to make posters and hang them around your classroom or school.
Writing paper - use with journal prompts, to write a letter to a character, or write poetry!
