During the first week of school, the teacher needs to strongly set the tone for his/her classroom. For some, this can be a challenge. For all, it is a necessity. Without concrete rules, one is not able to manage their classroom setting well. Rules must be meticulously constructed in order to make learning work effectively. I have a plan that works and that students enjoy following. As you might have noticed, my ideas are always student-centered and do not include many pre-written worksheets. They include simple directives to follow in order to meet success. This plan has been designed for Cooperative or Cohort Group lessons.
