I found that lots of my students in grade 3 last year were writing run-on sentences, that is, writing sentences that never ended and never used full stops! I created this short lesson with a paired activity and an individual worksheet to help students understand how to stop using run-on sentences.
Included in this download is a short lesson plan, with suggestions for extension and support during the lesson. As well as this, you get the resources for the lesson including a paired editing activity and a worksheet for students to complete. Use as a stand-alone lesson, or to complement an English lesson you are doing.
Made for grade 3, but could certainly be used for grade 4 or potentially 2 (with extra scaffolding) or 5 (with extra extension).
