This Russian Revolution worksheet describes Joseph Stalin's "collectivization" program and the resulting Holodomor in Ukraine.
The 1-page reading explains the background of the program as part of the Russian Revolution as well as the effect it had on Russia and the Ukraine, in particular. The Holodomor was a man-made famine in Soviet Ukraine in 1932-1933 that killed millions of Ukrainians.
A worksheet features analysis questions for students to complete with the reading. Additionally, there are several videos linked that can pair with the reading to provide a complete picture of collectivization and allow students to decide whether or not the Holodomor was a genocide.
An answer key and editable Google Doc version are both included for your convenience!
