This story is about a daily routine in the morning as someone gets ready for school.
The story has 12 parts (sentences) that can be scrambled so that students must put the parts in order. I have used these stories in a variety of ways:
Individually: students can cut up the sentence strips and place them in order on their desk, or glue them onto a piece of paper. If you are pressed for time, students can write a number next to each sentence.
Groups: in groups of 12 (I divide my class in 1/2), provide each student with a sentence strip and students must stand in a line, in the correct order. If you want to increase the rigor of the assignment, have students memorize their sentence first before working with the group.
