These 3 products are "write the room" activities: students go to designated locations and record by writing the letter or the first sound.
It's a growing station that gets more challenging based on skills learned and your students' levels. My favorite part of this activity is that I don't have to spend a lot of time with directions once they have the routine down.
For the sound hunt: depending on their level, students can trace or write the first sound, trace or write a sentence to tell what they see, or write a sentence about the picture.
For the letter hunt: you can use different colors of die cut letters or letters written on a card or post-it with different color markers. I have my students write with a pencil first, then trace it with the marker matching the colors.
Includes the pictures I use for the activity, differentiated recording sheets, and black and white pictures to cut and paste instead of draw if that is your preference for your students.
