Set in post World War II Japan, for Sadako, and the Thousand Paper Cranes, here are reading comprehension questions, graphic organizers, short writing response questions and several activities.
I have bundled them as follows: Ch. 1 and 2; Ch. 3 and 4; Ch. 5; Ch. 6; Ch. 7; Ch. 8; Ch. 9 and Epilogue - all in attractive, student friendly formats.
No answers provided.
There is a handout with an essential question prompt, with decorative border, suitable for posting around your room.
In addition to the above there is a word search and spelling ladder puzzle.
For enrichment I have a two page English to Japanese glossary, with pronunciation guide and directions for its use. I made a one page worksheet using statements about Sadako where students may practice using some of the words by filling in the blanks with Japanese words from the glossary.
I have also included three one page illustration pages with room for poetry and/or attaching student made paper cranes.
See the Preview File for a detailed Table of Contents.
