The entire packet can be found here:
This packet is meant to be used for word work practice. It is something new, fun, and different for the kids to use and enjoy. It can be used in pairs, small groups, centers/Daily 5, RTI groups, whole school literacy nights, or sent home for extra practice.
Directions : Roll the die. Look at the number at the bottom of the grid to see which short/long vowel rhyme you get to write. Start your work at the bottom of the sheet and go up. After you write the missing vowel/vowel combinations, read the word aloud. Next it is your partner’s turn. The first player to complete and read the words from his/her sheet is the winner!
Note: Sometimes I have the kids use a pen/marker/colored pencil when playing this game so that the vowels stand out and can be easily recognized. Besides that, the kids love writing with things other than a standard pencil!
-short vowel rhymes (13)
-long vowel rhymes (16)
-tricky rhymes (6)
