Baseball season is the time to make your SAT English practice fun and productive. This is a unique kind of practice for high school Language Arts. This is your chance to grab students with your unique question-answer baseball cards.
Use as SAT practice game cards, study guide, or as an assessment tool.
Cards are in 2 versions, color-coded with 4 different colors so that you will know the difference between question-answer and/or type of question, and black and white to save on ink. Both versions have matching baseball logos for question and answer.
The answer cards give a comprehensive explanation of answer which in-and-of itself is an entire lesson!
Multiple choice questions address the following areas:
• Grammar and Usage: Your understanding of agreement between subject and verb, between pronoun and antecedent, and between modifiers and the word modified; verb formation; pronoun case; formation of comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs; and idiomatic usage.
• Sentence Structure: Your understanding of relationships between and among clauses, placement of modifiers, and shifts in construction.
• Organization: How well you organize ideas and choose effective opening, transitional, and closing sentences.
• Style: How well you select precise and appropriate words, maintain the level of style and tone, manage sentence elements for rhetorical effectiveness, and avoid ambiguous pronoun references, wordiness, and redundancy.
As a bonus, a word file of all MLB team's logos is included so that you can save your favorite to paste on all of your docs.
Directions for 2-sided printing and use are included.
Laminate them for years of use.
Baseball cards include the following prompts:
-Choose the word or set of words that, when inserted in the sentence, best fits the meaning of the sentence as a whole.
-The following sentence contains either a single error or no error at all.
