PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Here is another SAT Skill Builder activity that uses two poems by Langston Hughes, "Dream Variations" and "Song for a Dark Girl," to teach extended reasoning with parallel texts. These questions are ALWAYS on the SAT and state reading assessments. Students learn to use deductive reasoning through working both poems to find answers.

As part of my series on SAT Skill Builders, these questions also build upon previous lessons by assessing vocab in context, tone/mood, author's purpose, and inference questions.

I will upload the PowerPoint slides I use to teach process of elimination of the answers as the answer key for those that would like it for the complete lesson.
