PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

These are exercises that accompany the presentation of Latin and Greek roots that appear in the words on the list of 192 most common vocabulary words that appear on the SAT.

Learning etymological roots is a more efficient and productive way of increasing knowledge of English vocabulary. By learning the roots of longer words instead of memorizing their definitions, students are developing a method of word recognition that can help them decipher the meanings of unfamiliar words in any context, a skill that will help them not only on tests like the SAT but also into their college years.

o Each worksheet in this document has a link to an accompanying Quizlet set of roots and their definitions.
o Students can study the links and take quizzes online, or you can print quizzes for them to take, and they can do these practice sheets for homework or class work.
o Use them for SAT prep or just for vocabulary building in general!
