These puzzles are the perfect addition to your classroom if you are teaching the phonics group SATPIN. Students will be practising their fine motor and phonics skills at the same time. There are 2 versions included, black and white and colour. The black and white version is for use as a student worksheet. The colour version can be made into a game/activity that students can use. There are 15 different puzzles included in both black and white and colour.
Black & White version: Choose a word that you would like students to focus on for the lesson. Each student will need their own copy. Students cut out the pictures on the dotted lines and glue it into the big box on the polaroid. Students then cut out the letters and put them in the right order to make the word to match the picture. Lastly, students write the word on the line under the letter boxes. Students can then colour the picture.
Colour version: Print and laminate the pages. Cut out the puzzle pieces and the letter tiles. Students make the puzzle and use the letter tiles to make the word to match. You can use Velcro if you would like it to stay together better. Students then write the word on the line.
This is a great activity for reading or literacy groups. All words only use the SATPIN letters. You can also use magnetic letters instead of the letter tiles if you like.
