Product Description
This BUNDLE includes all 3 of the performance tasks from my TPT store. Buying this bundle saves you $1. Each performance task is also listed individually at the bottom of this description in case you would like to purchase them separately.

The performance tasks included, in order, are:

Design a Menu (Add, Subtract, Compare and Order Decimals)~

This performance task allows students to practice their skills of adding and subtracting decimals in a real-world application. Given a budget of $200 and a few other parameters, students must design a menu for a family of 4 for breakfasts, lunches and dinners (Monday-Friday). Students must then answer a variety of questions requiring them to add, subtract, compare and order decimals. Finally, students must choose a set of data to represent in a bar graph as a final activity. Included in this resource is:

-A food/price list
-9 questions
-3 (optional) organizing sheets (breakfast, lunch, dinner) - the teacher may choose not to give these to students

Design an Orchard (Add & Subtract Fractions)~

In this performance task, students must design an orchard using fractional amounts. Given a 40 x 30 sheet of grid paper (divided clearly into 5 x 5 sections), students must either use their knowledge of creating equivalent fractions or using the broken up sections to figure out where to place rectangular sections of each type of tree on the orchard. After they place the sections on the paper, they must answer questions where, again, they must create equivalent fractions and add/subtract, or use the graph paper visually, to answer. Two questions require students to tell the amount of square feet taken up by a particular crop, as well as write an equation to represent the total area taken up by the crops. Included in this resource is:

-Graph paper, divided into 5 x 5 sections
-4 steps (either giving directions to use the graph paper, or asking questions about the garden plot)

Create a Schedule (Add & Subtract Fractions / Time)~

This activity is intended to allow students the opportunity to be challenged with a critical thinking activity involving fractional amounts of time. Students are asked to create a schedule for a day at an animal exhibit! Given certain criteria to follow, students must make a schedule of which exhibits they are gong to visit. Exhibit times are displayed using fractional amounts of an hour (denominators of 2, 3, 4, and 6). Students can either convert those to minutes to think through their schedule, or they can create common is their choice how they approach the task! In the end, they are asked 4 questions about their schedule requiring them to add and/or subtract the time they are spending in the various exhibits (the questions ask the students to express their answers in both fractional amounts and in hours/minutes). This is a great activity for enrichment in the classroom, weekly homework, guided math, etc.! Included in this resource is:

-Exhibit schedule
-4 questions about schedule
