Description

Help your students review all the major common core reading concepts before they take the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC) or Common Core test. This resource was created for a quick four-week review and was modeled after the 35d through 5th grade SBAC. The 40 questions were written to give your students a chance to review the common core concepts in an activity formatted to look and feel like the SBAC.

The 20 short passages include fiction, information text, poetry and persuasive text.

Concepts: Sensory Langauge, Drawing Conclusions, Context Clues, Author's Purpose, Central Idea, Summary, Persuasive, Fact vs. Opinion, Details, Sequencing, Compare, Theme, Poetry, Character, Inference, Cause and Effect, and Plot.

(Now includes the new TPT Digital option that adds an interactive layer to the original PDF. You can assign to your students through TPT in Google Classroom, and students can complete the activity on a device and turn it in online for you to review. Click HERE for more information.)

Includes the following:

4 Week outline with concepts and CCSS

20 Short passages
