SCOOP! Identifying Decimals on a Grid is a two - four player card game. It's a race to see who can identify the most decimals shown on grids before the other player gets the SCOOP!
This card game has 110 number cards and 10 SCOOP! cards. Players take turns choosing cards and naming the number shown on each card. Watch out, though - if a player uncovers a SCOOP! card, s/he takes ALL of the other player's cards.
Numbers on the cards range from 0.01 to 1.0. Numbers are in the tenths and hundredths places. This game aligns with the fourth grade Common Core Standard NF.C.6.
This game is great for centers, small groups, and RtI. Students will have fun while strengthening decimal understanding! Since the cards look great copied in black and white (and even on colored paper), this game would also make a great homework assignment for students to play with parents!
These cards could also be used as flashcards, to play the game of War, for comparing decimals, and for ordering decimals.
My other SCOOP! sets include those with a focus on specific phonics and math skills. Sets can be found here
Thank you for looking! :)
