Scoot is a great game to assess your student’s prior knowledge, used as an assessment tool, or just as a Math game to practise reading clocks.
Print and laminate the task cards for durability.
How to play:
Place one task card on each student’s table. Each student receives a Recording Sheet and starting with the number on the card in front of them, they record the time shown on the clock.
After a suitable time, say “SCOOT!” and students move on to the next table. Continue until all task cards have been visited and students have recorded a time in every box on their Recording Sheet.
The second set of task cards are true or false cards. Students check if the time shown on the clock matches up with the time under the clock and then write true or false on their Recording Sheet. If students don’t have enough time to write true or false, have them put a T or F in the box on the Recording Sheet instead.
