This game reviews all 3 Numbers and Base Ten standards for third grade. The questions are Common Core aligned. You can use it as a SCOOT game, interactive bulletin board, or as task cards for your math centers. The questions are at a DOK Level of 1 and 2 and should be able to be answered by students in less than 30 seconds.
Here are the ways I have used these cards in my classroom:
1) Scoot Game
*If you need more than 24 cards, create “catch-up” stations where students can return to cards they didn’t have time to complete. I like to give a physical activity station if I don’t have enough SCOOT cards. On an index card I write something like ”do jumping jacks until I say scoot!”
2) Interactive Bulletin Board
*Post recording sheets in an envelope on the board so students don’t have to interrupt you to complete the task. I also post the answer key on the board (in an envelope) so students can self-assess.
3) Task Cards
*Task Cards are an ideal tool to use in your whole group lessons, small groups, intervention groups, and centers. There are hundreds of ways these cards can be used, and the possibilities are limited only to your imagination.
4) Review Packet for State Standardized Testing
*Print the cards so you have 8 on 1 page and then run front/back and send home as a study guide for students that need extra practice.
