“SCOOT OUR RULES” provides a fun and motivating way for your students to think about the rules and management procedures that will make your classroom run smoothly all year. The questions are about noise levels, transitions, homework, working with others, etc. Examples of answers are provided on each card to start your general ed. students thinking, or to give some choices to your special needs students. It’s a great activity for the first or second day of school, and a great review following long breaks from school.
The rules are just like your usual Scoot games, with a longer activity added at the end. There are 32 question cards in all. Break cards are also provided, giving you a way to adjust the number of cards used for fewer or more students. There are blank cards provided as well for you to add some questions unique to your management system.
The responses can be used later to draft your classroom rules, mission, or constitution together, or they can be used to align with the preset management system you will be presenting to your class. The responses to these questions will also give you another way to get to know your students at the beginning of the year.
