Scoot game with 30 sentences with an underlined word for students to identify as a noun, adjective, verb, or adverb. Includes 2 organizers (1 support) for students to fill in the answers and an answer key. Cut out the cards (laminate to keep for future use if you prefer), tape them on the wall around the room or place them on desks, and have students walk around the room answering each card.
TO USE AS A CENTER: (laminate if you choose and) cut out each card. Write the answer on the back. Have students place the cards in a stack with the question facing up. One student takes a card and adds up the total value. They check the back for the answer. If they are correct, they keep the card. If they are incorrect, they slide it back to the bottom of the stack. Whoever has the most cards when the stack runs out wins.
TO USE WITH BOARD GAME: follow the directions above to prepare the cards for a center. If the student is correct, they get to roll the dice and move their piece. If they are not, they do not roll the dice and it becomes the next student's turn. You can use any game board for this. I do this all the time and my kids LOVE it. They beg me to let them play my math board games in the mornings instead of reading.
