Large classroom size of the classic game of SCRABBLE! Made to fit on a 36” by 48” project board (tri-fold- looks just like the smaller version of the game!). The game includes: rules, full color game board, and full color letter tiles with the correct letter distribution and point values!
I decided that, next year, my 6th graders will play an ongoing game of SCRABBLE with my other classes. I sat down and just started creating, and this is what I came up with!
I actually went to my game closet, pulled out my scrabble board, and made a larger, printable, replica of the original game. After spending hours on this project, I starting thinking... I am sure there are other people out there who LOVE Scrabble and would love to bring it into their classroom! I figured I should put it here on TPT, so no one else had to spend a day creating it! LOL
I have 3 classes of 6th graders. Each class will be a team. On Fridays, as their warm up, they will work in groups to create the best (highest point worth) word from their letters. The word with the highest point value will go into play. We will be using this game to help us discover and learn new words, to practice using reference books, and to have fun of course!
I would recommend printing game board and letter tiles on tough cardstock and laminating them. Use tape, magnets, or Velcro (my choice) to stick letter tiles to the board when playing.
