This is a simple resource that has become invaluable in my classroom! At my school we are required to put our attendance into an online program. However, sometimes getting in front of my laptop and signing in and waiting for the internet to load takes too long. Plus, if a student is tardy, now I have to go back in and change it! So, I always do my attendance on paper.
I created this document as an easy way to keep my seating chart on hand (great for subs to refer to) and take attendance and record behavior for a week all on one page per class!
This is an editable excel document. You can type in each students name and print them when needed. You can use it for two weeks of attendance or use it for one week and record attendance and behavior codes each day.
My students love to help me in the classroom. This has become one of the jobs they fight over doing when they come to class. It allows me to put my attendance in online when I get time and I am able to start my lesson immediately when the bell rings. I keep it on a clip board with a pencil and students take care of the rest!
It's easy... I put a P, A, or T in the box under the day of the week to indicate Present, Absent, or Tardy. The second row of boxes you can use a code to record participation or behavior. Maybe a checkmark to track participation or an X to indicate poor behavior. So many options! I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me!
Thank you for your support!
