Engage your students in understanding and identifying parts of a whole in tape diagrams, circles, squares and in sets through "ordering" and assembling pizzas! This activity is friendly for the whole class, rigorous, and a great hands-on way to assess your students' readiness to advance to more complex fractional concepts. Students will roll the die, and identify the fraction shown to fill out their order form. After, students will use their order form to identify the fractional part of the pizza that is designated for each topping.
