Further information on the products included in this bundle is outlined below:
1. TYPES OF SENTENCES NOTEBOOK FOLDABLES, TASK CARDS, QR CODE CARDS COMMON CORE
If you are looking to target differentiation in your classroom and provide your students with activities suitable to their needs, then this resource will prove handy. The 5 different interactive notebook foldables and 20 task cards and QR Code Cards focus on teaching the four types of sentences: DECLARATIVE, IMPERATIVE, INTERROGATIVE, and EXCLAMATORY. Not only will your students find this grammar lesson fun, but also meaningful.

Here’s what’s included:
1. INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK TEMPLATES (x 10) to provide practical application of the four sentence types. Photographs accompany assembly instructions. Notebook templates target differentiation. Students are required to write definitions, construct sentence types, change between sentence types and write descriptively, color-coding the sentence types.

2. TASK CARDS (x 20) featuring the four types of sentences. The task cards could serve as a means of informal assessment and provide you with information to dictate further teaching and learning. Working on the task cards would also give students the opportunity to apply skills acquired in this lesson. Content in task cards is engaging and based on interesting facts on the Nile crocodile. Students have to identify the sentence type on each task card and record their answers on the provided Response Sheet.

3. QR ANSWER CODES (x 20) are included to make this activity fun. Students check their answers via the QR codes or by referring to the answer sheet. Glue each QR Code Card to the back of its corresponding number task card, alternatively, print QR Codes on Avery’s Matte White Full-Sheet Color Printing Labels or similar and label each task card with its corresponding number QR Code Card.

4. EDITABLE POWER POINT PRESENTATION; PDF NOTE-TAKING FILEUse the editable Power Point presentation (animations included) and note-taking PDF file to introduce conceptual content on types of sentences. Students will use the note-taking PDF file while you play the Power Point presentation.

♦ The note-taking takes after Cornell styled notes. This power point will equip your students with key content knowledge and ample practice on types of sentences prior to students working on other reinforcing activities.

♦ This Power Point is editable. Simply type inside the text box to write in your own examples or change content. This is an effective way to document student learning via a Power Point presentation.

2. THE SIMPLE SENTENCE BUNDLE: SUBJECTS AND PREDICATES
Teach your students the parts of a simple sentence with this pack that targets differentiation. The posters, editable power point presentation, Cornell-style note-taking sheets, interactive notebook foldables, print-n-go sheets, task cards and QR Code Cards focus on teaching the simple sentence and its parts: simple subject, simple predicate, complete subject and complete predicate. An assessment is also included. Your students are sure to find this grammar lesson fun!

Here’s what’s included:

As a tuning-in activity, provide a brief overview of the simple sentence and its parts: the subject and the predicate. Please note that text that is locked in with clip art graphics is not editable. This is in keeping with the artist’s terms of agreement.

Each foldable template comes with a Response sheet for students to write their answers. You also have the option to just use the cover sheet and have students write their responses in their notebooks.

→ 5. PRINT-N-GO SHEETS (40-including answer key) to teach, re-teach and/or assess. There are 4 sections in this pack: The sentence (complete subjects, complete predicates), The Simple Subject, The Simple Predicate and an assessment. Read some impressive feedback on this resource from buyers.

I have a tried a few TpT resources for sentence types and they have been good, but none so far have come close to this set. I love that photos were available as a model. I know bookwork isn't everything, but the students were motivated to make their books looks as pretty as the photos and went back to finish shading them after finishing the task. I felt the instructions were very clear and loved how well the activities were scaffolded. Awesome resource.

For some students this is a very difficult concept to master. This resources really breaks down sentences and helps every student have a better understanding. It has helped my students with their writing by allowing them to use different sentence structures as well.
