### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SEQUENCES Arithmetic and Geometric
Activities for FIBONACCI DAY (11/23) or any day

Whether your students need to practice or they need to learn the skill, this set of activities will engage your students as they work with arithmetic and geometric sequences.

This resource includes a set of 4 challenges.

RIDDLE Identify the missing parts of arithmetic and geometric sequences.

DOT-to-DOT Using Fibonacci numbers create a “work of art” (actually a portrait of Leonardo de Pisa.

LOGIC Find the values represented by each symbol.

FIBONACCI'S RABBITS Model the original problem presented by Fibonacci in his book, Liber Abaci.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Activities are always fun and a break from instruction. And when the activities reinforce your instruction - it’s a real PLUS!

IDEAS for use:

Challenges for early-finishers. I always need an activity to keep the faster students engaged (and quiet) while others are working.

A daily puzzle to lead into Fibonacci Day... which is November 23 i.e. 1,1,2,3

Add the puzzles to a sub-plan. Be sure to leave the solutions with your substitute and an extra copy for them to enjoy.

Throw a party (but don’t call it that)... make fibo-nachos (you’ll get the joke when you do the riddle activity) and do math puzzles. Now, that’s a celebration!
