This activity is a great way to let early learners practice their beginning color matching skills It contains 24 Clip It cards working on matching colors. There are 2 versions of the color cards. Students match the shark color to the color on the bottom of the card.
This activity is so easy to set up and is super flexible so it can be used however works in your classroom. To get it ready simply print the cards, laminate for durability and cut apart. Decide how many cards you want your students to do at a time and place those cards and a matching number of clothespins in a bag or container.
To complete the activity, students place a clothespin on the bottom color that matches the color of the picture at the top. This is great for truly emerging learners or those with fine motor difficulties because they only have to pick between two choices. If you want to you can make this activity self-checking by placing a mark/sticker on the back of the card behind the correct number.
