This is set of about 60 BORING sentences that students need to bring to LIFE using sensory details and figurative language! For example, students may take the sentence "The dog is cute" and turn it into "My heart melted like chocolate on a hot day when I took in the sight of the adorable, cuddly puppy softly cooing in my lap." I love to print these out, crinkle them up, and throw them in the air. Students grab a boring sentence, create a "showing sentence," and repeat the process. This is an excellent way to help students improve their narrative writing (and writing in general). It's quite a fun "snowball" game that students really enjoy!
