This is a quick, versatile activity to make sure students understand the connection between slope, y-intercept and the equation of a line in slope intercept form.
Option 1: Post the graphs around the room. Pass out either a slope or intercept to each student. Have students walk around and find the graph that matches their card. Once the second student shows up, have them come to you and tell you the graph letter and the equation in SIF. I keep a few extra and will trade out once students get their first one right. (I use the cards turned in for the next set of students. Be sure to mix them up so that students are not always partnered with the same students.)
Option 2: Copy the set with the graph and blank m, b and equation. Have students fill in the blanks.
Option 3: Copy the set with the graph, m, b and equations filled in. Cut apart the m, b and equations and match them to the correct graph.
