Thanksgiving, Pilgrims, and Wampanoag Vocabulary This engaging sentence building activity can be used with a diverse group of early readers. From single word/picture phrases, to repetitive phrases, to multiple sight word sentences with Thanksgiving vocabulary and sight words, this product has something for everyone.
Organize sight words into sets based on student needs. A period card in included for each set for students who are working on punctuation.

Level 1: create single word-picture phrases; a _____. the _____.
Level 2: 3 word phrases can be organized in order and the student finishes the sentence by adding a picture at the end of each frame. Teacher can reduce phrase to two words as needed.
Level 3: student sequences the selected 3 word phrase and adds a picture to form a sentence.
Level 4: student is given a set of 4-8 different sentence frames. Each set has a different color frame outlining the words. Student sequences words and add a picture to form a sentence.

Picture sets include Thanksgiving foods, Pilgrim and Wampanoag specific vocabulary. multiple labels for many vocabulary pictures for teacher selection based on terminology used within unit of study and differentiation needs.

*pocket chart with picture bank in top or bottom row
*table top or carpet-pictures in a basket or on picture board or file
*flip strips-attach words and picture to sentence strip with velcro strip
*cookie sheet with magnetic strips on back of words and pictures
