Use this “doube-whamy” resource as a station, with a small group, or as a literacy center. Students learn to IDENTIFY and USE similes and metaphors while having fun creating personal narratives. Their narratives can be kooky and convoluted, true or completely fictional, as long as they’re believable. Save the animated PowerPoint preview, and use it to introduce the game. It explains how the game is played.
