This simple bingo style game and card game is a fun way to reinforce inner hearing in singing and also in playing an instrument.
Copy on card stock. Cut card in four segments. Make as many cards as needed. Cut out the blank cover cards.
Give each student a card, or share with partners. Sing (or play on piano, violin etc.) one of the patterns on the card. Students must identify and cover the appropriate pattern. As students become confident have them take turns singing the patterns.
2. Sing the Card
Cut the card into 16 segments. Place in a pile face down. Students, in turns, pick a card and sing or play the solfa pattern on it. Students should feel very confident before playing this game.
