PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

From educator/author Hank Fellows: This 32 page children's book, with 25 child-friendly photos, is an ideal introduction to the facts and themes surrounding the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. This is the true story of "Sirius," the police patrol dog who died in the Twin Towers on 9-11-01. The story is told by "Sirius" in his own words, and also recounts his friendship with his police officer partner, David, who survived the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks. This book is currently being used in New Jersey's state-wide 9/11 Education curriculum for grades 3-8. On Sept. 10, 2006, Hank Fellows received a Citation from the New York City Council for his "continued generosity and devotion to the remembrance of September 11th." As a September 11th teaching resource, this book is ideal not only for Patriot Day (9/11), but also for Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, and the study of 9/11/01 in American History classes.
