I created this super helpful visual aid to use with any student who is working on /s/ blends, specifically the /sk/ blends. The students are reminded that for the /sk/ sound, they need to switch from a snake (or tongue) sound to a throat sound. Have the student trace their finger along the snake while saying /s/, and then touch their own throat while saying the /k/. The picture of the arrow pointing to the man's throat reminds the child that they need to touch their own throat. If a child is stimulable, this visual aid will definitely be helpful, and the kids enjoy being able to trace their finger across the snake. Be sure to check out my other products!
