Teach Like a Champion uses the acronym SLANT to remind kids to look like a student. Students are asked to sit up tall, listen carefully, ask and answer questions, nod and smile, and track the speaker. I complete a lesson asking for examples of what it means to look like a student. We practice it. Then, when I notice students may not be paying attention, I will just say SLANT. Students can correct.
The product contains a poster set with one letter per page, a one-sheet poster, and individual reminders for specific students. Each is in color or black and white.
