This growth score calculator was developed based on New York State APPR requirements. This can be modified to fit your state's requirements. This worksheet will use the pre-test score and the summative assessment to determine whether the student met their growth. The formula for growth is (100-pre-test score)*growth percentage. The worksheet will count up the number of students that met the target and the students that did not. It will utilize a table to determine how many points a teacher would receive based on the percentage of students that met their individual target.
If either the pre-test or summative cells are left blank, then the student will not calculate in the teacher's overall score. Also, if a student receives an 85 or better on the pre-test, then the student will count favorably for the teacher as long as the summative assessment score is an 85 or better.
If you have been calculating SLO's using paper or spending on expensive products, this product will make your life easier and will be much more cost effective.
