FINDING SLOPE GIVEN TWO POINTS
If you need an activity to wake up the dormant math brain cells after summer break (or any break) consider this math activity.
Students find slope for two given points. They can use the slope formula or you can ask them to plot the points and find the slope by using the ratio, rise to run.
The slopes will be used to decode the following quote:
"If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. "
Included are 18 slopes to find. An answer key is included.
This makes a great worksheet for back to school, to leave with a substitute or to use for early-finishers.
