I created this database to keep all my speech therapy information organized and ready to view with a click of a button. I hope this can help other busy SLPs also!
Check out my tutorials on YouTube to see how easy it is to use!
1. You will need to have Microsoft Access 2010 or higher installed on your computer. You can subscribe to Microsoft Office 365 for about $10 a month. It will always have the latest versions of the Microsoft office programs on it.
2. Note that Microsoft Office for Macs doesn’t include Access at this time. However, you can run Access on your Mac as long as you have the ability to run Windows OS. You can do this with software such as Parallels, which runs about $40 for the Academic version at places like Academic Superstore.com. You would also need to have a Windows OS installed (currently about $100 for Windows 7 on Amazon).
3. You can download the free Sample SLP Database to test whether it will run on your computer.

It might take you an hour or two to enter your student data, but once you’ve done that, the rest is simple. I have about 45 kids on my speech caseload. It takes me about 5-10 minutes at the end of the day to enter in my daily therapy data. I can get my progress reports done in an hour or two, including printing them out. I hear it takes other people days!
