Product Description
This product is designed for Speech Therapists as a quick reference to the Common Core State Standards (CCCS) in English Language Arts (ELA). Standards are broken down by grade level, and organized in to the 5 components of language: Semantics, Syntax, Morphology, Phonology, and Pragmatics. The High School Edition includes standards for grades 9-12

Please note that this resource does not include EVERY standard. It is scaled down to incorporate those standards that most directly apply to the skills SLP's support.

A few notes about the standards:

*At the High School level, standards for grades 9 and 10 are combined in to one set of standards that spans both grade levels. This is also true of grades 11-12. As such, standards are written as follows: Domain.GradeRange.Standard. Example: Speaking and Listening, 9th and 10th grade, Standard 1 = SL.9-10.1.

*By High School, students are expected to have mastered all major aspects of phonology. As such, the "Phonology" column in this High School resource is primarily blank. To see the precursor skills and developmental progression in the area of phonology, please refer to the Elementary Edition.

*Some standards are cross-categorical, and include elements that may apply to multiple aspects of language (for example, a standard may have elements of both semantics and pragmatics). For organizational purposes, these standards were placed in the column that MOST reflected the skills being measured.
